Current Projects

Greater Manchester (GM) Independent Mental Health Network (IMHN) are working to unite the mental health service user voices and communities across the region. We have enjoyed having conversations with numerous organisations and individuals already, discussing how we can go about bringing great change to the mental health systems in place.

Some of the current projects we are working on, include:

  • Greater Manchester’s Big Mental Wellbeing Conversation

In collaboration with the Greater Manchester (GM) Health and Social Care partnership, we have been creating a survey for the GM population to discuss issues around their mental wellbeing. We have hosted development sessions in which our members have participated in to assist the creation of the questions to be put into the survey. We have released the survey (which you can view, here) and once results have been collected, we will be collating the findings and presenting them to the general public.

  • Recruitment drive for representation opportunities

We have been working hard to form three separate boards, that will represent the mental health service user voice across the ten boroughs of GM. These boards are: The Lived Experience Leadership Forum, the GM Adult Mental Health Delivery Board (facilitated by the GM Health and Social Care partnership) and the GM Mental Health Programme Board (facilitated by the GM Health and Social Care partnership

  • Website development sessions

Working with our members at the IMHN, we have been running website development sessions to gather feedback about our brand new GM website.
